FABIAN JAKOPETZ - DJ, producer, remixer, from Croatia, Zagreb (20 years of music experience) STYLES: Techno, Techouse, House, Minimal, Progressive BIOGRAPHY: As a child he played a guitar in various bands, but he haven't found his way in expressing by live instruments. He was influenced by his older brother who was listening to electronic music from it's start, so that's the source of his beginning. As a minor has started his music career under the name DJ Dechko and practically overnight he achieves success at the local electronic music scene. In that time he has performed on most major projects and programs in Croatia. These performances enabled him massive exposure and permanent connection with the audience where he gained his experience where he achieved a great sense for floor-feeling which he uses to satisfy dancing and smiling ravers on the dance floor. Styles that he dynamicly plays are a sort of eclectic fusion of Techno, Techouse, House, Progressive and Minimal music, although in creative moments he likes to surprise his crowd with some other stuff not linked to these genres. In parallel with DJ career, he started to do production of electronic music, but through years of musical experience, he gained confidence and courage to send his music to labels that in 2009 resulted with the first release in colaboration with Damir Pushkar for the legendary Bonzai Records. This release broke the ice of his career, which was since then in absolute growth, and results by new releases on large and world famous labels, such as: Yin Yang Records, Elektrax Recordings, Baroque Records, Bonzai Music, Decide Music Concept, Sony Music Entertainment, Funk'n Deep Records, Whartone Records, Le bien et le mal, ZYX Music, Sound of Acapulco, Hamburg Aufnahmen, Punch Underground and many more. He is one of the rare Croats who had the opportunity to remix so many greats of world electronic music, which some of them were nominated for Grammy, legends like: Tiesto, Eddie Amador, Spartaque, Oliver Moldan, Jerry Ropero, Yves Deruyter, Steve Mulder, AnGy KoRe, Daniele Petronelli, Balthazar & JackRock, Ali Wilson, Airwave, TKNO, Dataworx, Arkatec a.k.a. The first artist that inspired Dan was Deadmau5 due to his love of electro music especially the style of Deadmau5 and at the age of 15 he composed his first track which was entitled Nema. Dan has now changed his style and Is currently working on Minimal techno / Tech house /Progressive house / Deep House and chill out . Dan chose the name Wadafack which actually means 'What the fuck' because he was amazed by the fact that the first song he wrote received such good feedback from friends. </p>

DJ Ruma and DJ Nicky-Du-Coeur established 'Nuance' way back in 1993 in Cornwall, UK, when as young bucks we started listening to the Radio 1 show - DJ Pete Tong's 'Essential Mix, plus DJ Danny Rampling’s ‘love groove dance party’. We loved enjoying beers whilst listening to dance tunes whilst playing around with the EQ levels on our cheap Stereo pretending we were real DJ’s!! Then we started taking note of DJ names, Record labels and tunes that we liked. We soon started listening to refined music like 'Renaissance' by DJ Sasha and John Digweed, ‘Goa Mix’ by Paul Oakenfold, artists like Deep Dish, and tunes released on Positiva & Perfecto records etc. The list goes on! We then started recording mix tapes and then bought some Technics 1210s and building up our vinyl collection. We essentially became bedroom DJs but also took all opportunities to play out at lots of private house and ‘phase-2 parties’. DJ Nicky-Du-Coeur has musical influences from house to deep progressive house. Nicky is now based in Brittany, France. DJ Ruma has musical influences from jungle & techno, to house, and now melodic house. Ruma is now based in Bicester, Oxfordshire. ‘Nuance’ was born when we wanted a common platform from which we could play and record our mixes for everyone to enjoy. Sadly some of the early Nuance cassette tape recordings have become lost in the depths of time, but our drive, ambition, and feeling for this fantastic music has never been lost, and is now back for revival! We have also adopted our Oxford friend – DJ Dangsterapper, who adds a bit of a different musical angle with his mixes which include techno, tech-house, old skool tunes and breaks. I began my DJ career at age 16 with one of my dad's belt drive turntables, a friend's belt drive turntable and a $90 Gemini mixer. I later got a set of 1210s and a a real mixer and went for it! In college my friend DJ Atom and I began the Ill Communications production company and started throwing raves in Santa Cruz and The SF Bay Area. I spent 5 years as the DJ for the seminal San Francisco Metal/Hip Hop band Zeromind. Playing with a live band gave me a respect for pitch and phrasing that most DJs don't have a need for. I was regularly "playing" along with the band in key with guitar samples and sound effects. Soloing on stage to hundreds of people as part of a rock band is something I will probably never replicate. Since then I have moved into the digital era and began working with software like Traktor and Ableton. I have a love for music that will never die, even though I have not been able to pursue it as my career I still regularly find myself spinning and producing tracks. If you love it, you just have to do it!
